And since when was there a country number minimum for tags to receive policing? I see no unwritten rule anywhere in this game that says that.

Takes a lot of balls to farm countries that can't defend themselves. Why don't you make the game interesting by hitting a country in a tag that you know can retal you? If you do it right you'll still profit, especially with ghost acres.

No we don't include ghost acres. We want to encourage landgrabbing, retalling L:L with ghost acres doesn't.

We don't accept L:L anyways.

Oh and we don't accept topfeed policies either.

If it led to war, I'm sure our members would be happy :)

Back to topic... Actually, I have a question. When retalling in a policing situation, does the police clan use their own retal policies, or the policies of the clan they're policing for?

That is a good question. IMO the point of policing is to discourage somebody from grabbing the alliance at war. So any retal should make it hurt as to discourage said player from again grabbing that alliance who is at war.

Especially since the warring clan doesn't benefit from that retal, so ghost acre profits don't count. Good point, I didn't think of it that way.

A smart alliance leader will contact the policing alliance and offer to pay reps...assuming his member made an honest mistake or didn't know any better when grabbing an alliance at war.

In theory that would be the preferred way since the alliance at war will be reimbursed for their loss.

ravi is correct, if I was leading and a member was to accidentally hit a clan at war I would ask to pay reps rather then taking retals, ive never denied anyone reps as long as I knew it wasn't deliberate and it won't happen again.

If Collab is policing for a tag, we follow that tag's retal policies for all hits made on them during war, if reps are not worked out.

So a clan by clan basis, then... Maybe having a single clan police for everything is a better idea than I thought. Keeps things simple.
