why is this happening is it bust or is it another sly change thats not been announced ie to stop people getting -100% building costs or gettingany of the other bonuses to the limits as well lol

This is no longer meaningful with Change set #25 - I think Slagpit said he'd phase out the timer to prevent confusion, since you'll get everything when you login for the first time each game day. I think you can still get to -100% building costs with the F bonus and forum activity on this server.

Bonus Systems:
* A country will be awarded 7 turns, 20 acres, and bonus points the first time a player logs into it per day. This replaces the 12 hour bonus, 18 hour bonus, and other similar systems.

It wasn't meant as a nerf. It was changed from 22 to 24 because the 22 hour bonus time lead to one of three outcomes for premium players:

1) Some players used automated scripts to refresh the game frequently which is against the rules
2) Some players set alarms to wake up in the middle of the night to get bonus points
3) Some players missed out on possible bonus points

All of those outcomes seem bad to me.

I can't remember how many times I was tapping that refresh button while driving, it's a good change on both that and 18 hour bonus.
