Hey All,

I've changed the captcha a bit:

1) It now triggers on the Portal (If you're logged in actually), rather than only once you're in a country

2) It now tells you *WHY* it triggered!

3) The portal now tells you how long you have until a captcha on THAT DEVICE!!

4) There is a link beside that, on portal, which LETS YOU ENTER IT AT WILL, so you don't accidentally catch one mid-KR or something

5) Delay Captcha should *Actually work* now

6) You now get THREE delays of 8 hours each.

Thoughts, suggestions, bugs?

PS: The reason we need a captcha is for ANTI-BOT/BABYSITTING-SCRIPT/ETC/ETC/ETC, so NO we are not just going to disable the captcha.

ALSO:

7) If you hover over the "Next Captcha for this device: X" bit, it will tell you the device id (which it will also tell you in the captcha itself)

how often we are supposed to see captcha? i saw it yesterday and next was due after few days from now.

I logged in and out on same devise to captcha 3 times straight.

Catpcha Displayed because the Captcha was forced: Perhaps you have Javascript Disabled? (Device ID: 724)
Did you see the green checkmark at the login form?
If yes, please report this on the Bugs & Suggestions Forum

Java is enabled.
No private browsing.
Green check mark doesn't show on mobile site, but is always there on full site. Still gotta captcha anyways though.

Seems now that you changed it to the portal I have to captcha every time I want to come to your site... Even just when I want to check forums or get my bonus etc... Before it was only twice a day to get into my country.

I gotta say I'm pretty fluffing pissed off and this may be the kicker to make me not come to this fluffing website anymore. Change this fluffing mess you are continually making worse. Am I going to have to captcha before each post next? For fluff sake!!!!

Do you have time to come on IRC so I can help resolve this with you? You seem to be the only one having serious difficulties?

If your browser isn't showing the green check mark, then that means something about JS isn't working properly -- maybe it's just being super-slow, but it does mean that you aren't having it respond properly...

I just fixed a bug where the green checkbox wouldn't load if you'd saved your un/pw in the form -- because it was only loading on focus of the un/pw elements.

Try that?

I just saw a check mark for the first time ever on the mobile page....

Sorry for the rant btw. I only get like 30 seconds at a time to log in and check posts, with work and taking care of the kids and such. Getting captcha blocked on my phone over and over got to me.

I'll test when I can find a second.

Yea, it only affected mobile users, as I already had a fix in place for desktop users, but I think I'd assumed it transitioned over...

well it's not just the physical device, there's a bunch of other parameters; if you switch browsers or upgrade browsers, it'll be a "different device"...

Bots definitely still have a tough time with captcha's; most of the captcha-breaking is done by paying humans in india &etc to break them =/

depending on whether i allow javascript to run from there it seems to reset the captcha status, could you remember for each state rather than cancelling the other state?

It works with javascript enabled, and it works with javascript disabled (i've tested it =D)

i was wrong, what was actually happening was that if you go to login with the javascript off then turn on the javascript you still have to do a captcha

except if i close browser, reopen then enabe ajax.googleapi.com before logging in the captcha doesnt need to be done

i turned off all addons except noscript, missed a wordwrap and a google/yandex redirect one so ill try again, might stop history wiping on exit too

edit: did those things and do not track and still the same behaviour, firefox btw

if you haven't used for example ff past 7 days and then use it you need to captcha and of course if something gets updated.

Was capcha disable?
I dont have the option to delay it anymore.
I was trying to wall from my mobile, i login using mobile page and stuck in capcha and i cant delay it. :/

if captcha would be easy to read then bots would pass it even easier than they do now.

i've seen many kind of captchas and recaptcha ain't worst (its in top 3 although).

You could also opt to turn off the auto-update, or to allow it to inform you of updates, but you choose whether to update or not.
