Hey everyone!

I’m pleased to announce that we’re growing the dev team for Earth Empires!

Please join me in welcoming Bug, Jabroni1134 and Requiem to the dev team. All three of them have been doing coding related to Earth Empires for some time and have been active in the community for as long as I can remember.

They are helping me with building the new game UI which we’ll be releasing into an open beta this month and we’ll keep adding more to their plate as we’re able to. For now, qz and I will continue to work on the game core and API work while Bug, Jabroni1134, Requiem and myself work on the new UI. Moe to come on that in the coming days/weeks.

Again, please join me in congratulating them and thanking them for the hard work they’ve already started putting in! I'm excited for what we're going to be able to accomplish!

The new UI is coming along nice. I was skeptical when I first saw it and thought it would be bad for playing on but after the last week of playing with it, its going to be an awesome improvement that will hopefully make most people happy regardless of whether you Netgain or War.

We are always looking for suggestions/improvements and when we go public, we want the community involved in the design process and giving ideas.

Last time I played on it the build page screwed me out of 1 turn! In one of the modes it was also impossible to build two building types at once. From what I can see the build page has now changed and seems to be much better. Sweet work!

I second what Jabroni1134 said, we are working hard on getting to a more stable testing phase, then we will definitely be looking for beta testers who are willing to try the new interface with their countries.

Simply because this was brought up in another topic, i guess i will explain who I am.

I have been playing EE since 6/20/2006. I Joined SOL and have been an on and off again member since then as my job required me to leave for a few months at a time. (Military-Air Force).

I have held many positions, all in the IA Department. I was IA Head in 2018 for a few months when no one else volunteered. I mostly kept off the EE forums and off the publics radar as I enjoy being in the shadows.

I am an IrcOP on Scourges IRC server where several clans are hosted.

I have been coding SOLs warbot/phone bot for a long time. Within the last year, it was recoded to allow all clans to use use it on both Scourges IRC Server and the EE server. (EEWarbot/EarthWarbot)

I also am in charge of the code for EarthNews on Scourges Server.

I ran public scripts for EE and GHQ that made the sites easier to use without breaking any intended game mechanics (Quick set build buttons, etc). This is what led Pang to me as he was directed to my scripts for ideas on what to do with the new UI. He asked me to help out on the new UI and learn a completely new coding language and I accepted.

There... that was a very short, very rough idea of who I am. :) The moral of the story is, I have been around but always kept to the shadows... at least until pang forced me out.

Do I need to introduce myself also or are you guys all ok not really knowing who I am if you haven't heard of me?

don't think so but we have been in same alliances so you aren't just somebody to me but since there's bug03 around you could make introduction.

I'd be interested in beta testing.

BETA Testing will be open for all who wish to try it out.
