if there was a way - a tagging system - for grabs , so one could tell what was a retal, what is a fresh hit,then it would cause a lot less confusion.

I feel that this would have to be user-input. You select planned strike and label it as a random grab, retal, or approved grab. Of course I feel people would mislabel everything which would make it not helpful sadly.
