I think it needs to be changed to military strength. Also I think it'd be better to be only 5% bonus, but apply to both attacking and defending so if it's activated, until you spend 30 turns it'll still apply.

At 10%, there is no way to defend you country now. Unless you wipe out your opponent completely so they can't retal back. This is with regards to solo servers.

On the alliance and team servers, first strikes are more overpowered because there is no corresponding defense bonus. So if you hit first not only do you do more damage but you can do more overall hits than before because the readiness loss from breaking will be less.

It unbalances the game in a bad way at it's current format, just my opinion.

Yeah, I agree that it needs a defensive counterpart. How does +5-10% D str for 50-100 turns/8-12 hours (Max:4) sound? I think it should be weaker than the O bonus but the duration should be longer. Then even all-x countries will have to choose between increased production and increased D.

I don't think it should be weaker when planned strike already gives a 50% bonus. Also there is the 3 off ally allowance vs 2 for def (for the group based servers)

That's assuming they are going for land and just trying to suicide or kill or a country.

I think the bonus is unique and a good idea it's just a little unbalanced. Either that or lower the max stacking to 2 stacks.

But I agree, there needs to be a defensive equivalent.

nm, it doesn't stack so I don't see any problem with this bonus. In fact, it seems weak and limiting now.

By the by, I think a defensive counterpart to this would be overpowering unless it somehow showed up in a spy report. Otherwise people would always have to send an extra 10% on top of the extra they already send to overcome the variable defense bonus.

If this is to become a big part of the strategy of the game though, I suppose including an op "spy on bonuses" might become necessary.
