EMs are pretty useless in war times, so why not increase (double?) the readiness losses it does?

also an option for missile preferences would be nice

EMs aren't useless, if you know how to use them.

they have their use. they work better than original em's did... all they destroyed were a few tech points. lame

I'm all for this idea!

They're not useless, but it would make them more equivalent to the other missiles in value if they did a bit more for you.

They are fairly useless compared to other missiles. So im keen for some form of a change

sending a missile doesnt regain readiness. using a turn does...

so, in order for this idea to work, the admins would have to code in some form of bonus for readiness regain. Or they could make em's use another turn :-P

a more practical suggestion, IMO, would be to make em's attack sdi directly.

maybe I'm missing something, but wouldn't coding the additional readiness regain for EM's really only be a matter of an additional if statement in the readiness module/function/w/e?

dont think so.

Havent seen the code myself, but i assume it'd entail adding either another call to the readiness regain, or removing readiness from the turn use function and call to it seperately. then i guess you could gain readiness twice while only using one turn.

tho, another problem is... would a tyr get 2 turns readi(6perc) back while all but demo got 4 turns readi(12 perc)? 12 perc redi back for one attack seems a bit much. especially when there are a lot of people saying fs is too powerful.

And not sure i agree with ford on the subject of nukes. land is a key factor in war performance, especially prolonged wars. losing a few units is easy to replace.

EMs lower the target's readiness by 0%-5%. Spawn is talking about doubling that effect.

when you are fighting a clan that all has 70%+ sdi what good has nukes ever done outside restarts? All you are doing is increasing the targert SDI and SPAL.

Where as EMs reduce ready, break, and SDI

I stand by my statment where in 2 war clans going at it nukes are almost worthless.

Nukes = commie killers

Why kill a commie when you can just stop it from running turns :-)

Even when countries have %70 SDI, it's still silly not to use one as a nuke dump. Even if 3-5 out of ten get through, that's still a lotta lost acres.
