The main page correctly displays the start of FFA as Jan 27 00:00, but some pages, such as the topplayers:

http://ffa.www.earthempires.com/topplayers

and scores, etc. are saying Jan 25.

Please adjust everything to Jan 27 prease =]

anyway that's the time the reset was "created" rather than when it started i believe

yeah, but it is still kinda confusing to have the 2 different dates, and the day the set started, not created makes much more sense =]
