I would suggest you to go on IRC (irc.earthempires.com) and join #earthempires and #help and ask a game admin.

Its more a problem with the ISP than the email server, but we are working on it.

i fixed this. seems we weren't being filtered in this instance, was a slight code error. I have tested this, successfully, now and the email arrives in a timely fashion.
