Both OS updates and Browser updates cause the EE servers to think you are on a new device (because all major browsers report both the client browser version and the OS version to the server in the HTTP request header).

This allows websites to target the user based on the browser he is using, and/or the OS the user is running, by showing the user the correct page (for eg, Mac downloads vs PC downloads, or mobile version vs Desktop version), and also for websites to do demographics, as well as identify issues that only certain browsers/OSes encounter.


This week has quite a number of browser updates as well as OS ones. Even MacOS got a security patch.

if you use chrome/chromium-browsers then blame google which updates its browser sometimes thrice a week (at least it lookslike it, dunno if it is so since I use FF).

@Marshal If you use Firefox Nightly build, Firefox updates every night... :P

qzjul, i think its good idea to make a text about what can cause new captcha on captcha page. So, people wont make such threads everytime some browser updates.

I have answered to ee-captcha twice today and nothing in my browser or system (unless installing and uninstalling few progs are counted) has changed and yesterday evening I had still ~95 hrs left until next captcha.

That's 3 captchas on this weekend and 1 of those was due I used different browser.

Can we implement captcha like the 3rd bonus which only involves simple math questions like 1 + 0 = ?

This enables faster logins to wall for people like me always having to enter captcha everytime I login.

a good way to identify is through face recognition.

We have to first send our passport photo to qzjul, he will then enter these details into the database. Then we all have to buy a piece biometric facial recognition device linked to our PC or an app on our mobile. So upon logging in, EE will scan our faces before logging in. This saves us from digusting Captchas.

DNA testing is easier to do.

i got ee-captcha just ~2 mins ago and i answered previous just few hrs ago and NOTHING has changed since few hrs ago.
