It never really worked well in old earth, and even tho i agree that it'd be good to have in ee, i think that most players like being able to login undetected.

maybe not the score list indicator like it was before but a 'counter' of how many countries are online at any given time would be great

We have tools that do just that! Although they are 3rd party... You can perty much know who is online just by NW changes. If you use even just one turn your NW will change. I guess the only benefit would be knowing someone online who didn't use a turn.

if you check the bottom left of the portal(page after login) it shows current players logged in, but taht's for all servers.

Just really didnt see the point of your post, yes everyone knows very well that you can do that and that 3rd party sites has done that for years and years and years at least sofs site has even tho some of the other sites didnt do it as early as we did but that still isnt the point ie see first post

The point of my post is that you don't need the scores to tell you who is online. The scores page is already squeezed in and to add another column could clutter the already space deprived screen.

I don't see the point of your post because it adds no value to the game.

to be honest, NW change related login tools don't really work that well these days. especially since you can buy things off the market whenever you're not logged in. your NW can essentially fluctuate 24/7 even if you only login once a day.

and, there never was another column.. it was only a little * next to the gov to say they were online.

still doubt an actual "i'm logged in" flag would ever be put in place in EE, other than the forums. some players would demand to be able to play incognito
