Right now, CMs and NMs still destroy a significant portion of a country's SDI when they are shot down. Its too easy to weaken a country's SDI merely by shooting CMs and NMs at them even if they have over 80% SDI.

I suggest that the SDI tech destroyed when one shoots down a CM or NM should be cut by 80%, and that the SDI tech destroyed when one shoots down an EM should be doubled.

That would turn the nuke into the new EM... as aside from the SDI bonus of having less land, the nuke would also destroy less tech...

If we will do this maybe setting the minimal limit of acres destroyed to 15 would be good... /me sleeps

I think this would be a good change and would not require altering nukes beyond Rockman's original suggestion.

Nukes are still valuable enough in war - stunting growth, etc.

nukes should destroy extra buildings and maybe even a radiation exposure like poisoning the water supply

Perhaps by impacting a country's max population value by, say, 1% per nuke strike?
