The column "Asking" in the market is the top price someone has a standing order out at, correct? Technically this is a bid. Should probably read Bidding.

The "Best Price" is actually the current Asking price.

Asking = selling at X.
Bidding = willing to pay Y.

as those who price their goods for a quick auto buy and sell 1 unit to a order are probably pissed @{

Ask is what the seller wants
Bid is what the Buyer is willing to pay

well the only solution to that is put in orders that you have cash for but otherwise i have no solution for u
