My idea is to add a new technology, or a new something, that will protect construction sites from being destroyed or allow them to be easily salvaged or allows them to be rebuilt without costing turns (maybe still costs $$ though).

If this is implemented then PvP players engaging in a 1v1 war or simply a 1 for 1 trade will not lose construction sites when they get land grabbed or ABd or nuked which is a huge positive and this will allow people to farm humans instead of bots optionally. The loss of turns when you get hit is far too great as you have to rebuild the construction sites - get rid of this mechanic please!!!

Now you might say that would enable people to simply farm off of each other but the implementation details and how to counter that is up to developers!

CS destruction is a problem yes, possibly I do not agree with your reasons but a change towards them being lost less easily would benefit the game in many ways.

Considering that people who war dont care about CS and people who netgain are forced to spend something like 15-25% of the round's turns building CS it puts undue vulnerability on those who invested a lot in this early without giving them any advantage when war breaks out.

If CS are not taken out as easily from landgrabs, missiles, ABs and Bomb structures, it would render them useful in an AB-war since high CS would actually let your rebuild, whereas now they are just knocked down with the rest of the buildings and thus offering no advantage, unless the ABs were very few.
