I've seen a few people say that self-farmers run very low military and GS themselves into DR. If my actions are considered self-farming, then this generalization is inaccurate. Thus, I think there needs to be a different term to describe the type of growth my countries have done this set.
When someone is not running low defense and is not hitting themselves into DR and is not boosting one country up over the others, I think the term 'self-farming' is not appropriate.
My suggestion is that this method be called "self-landtrading" to differentiate it from the hitting yourself into DR tactic used by self-farmers. I'd love to hear other suggestions on a name for this type of activity, because I do think its necessary to differentiate between the two. I'm not attached to the term "self-landtrading", so if someone has a better name, lets hear it.
If we create a distinction between what I call self-farming and what I call self-landtrading, then hopefully we'll see some alliances that currently allow self-farming switch to only allowing self-landtrading, and some of the alliances which don't allow any grabs between countries in a tag to allow self-landtrading but not self-farming.
This would create a lot more big countries outside of DR, which would be a positive for the game, Those countries outside of DR would need to have a reasonable defense to avoid being grabbed, and it is still possible to grow at a decent rate and still keep a decent defense (but it does take some skill).
