I'd like to put together a little competition for next reset. I'd like to see who's really the best pound-for-pound netgainer in the game.

Of course, that comes with rules. No self-farming mostly. This wouldn't be about who can be #1 at the end of the reset by managing a million acres worth of landfarms.

This would be purely about people who used their skills to get the highest networth either through grabs for acres or exploring for them.

The "winner" may or may not end up in the top 100 but we'd find out who can play and who can't. I'm betting from looking at people's news that nobody out there would have the stones to actually join the competition. I see a lot of the high networth countries simply being there because they self-farm.

INnlight of that, I would propose that every participant tag up one country in a "Competition Tag" that gets no aid from other accounts in or out of the tags that the player belongs to or his other countries. Of course, I would ask that clans put this tag on DNH status. However, I would expect that accepted retal policies be enforced to prevent the tag's members from being Bad Kids.

so just netting with one country like alliance or just one for your participation? And you would have to be in charge of your own retals I think in order to prevent land fat no military hippies

I'd be interested if I could use all 16 to netgain -- not self-farm or FA -- but tech leach, def leach, etc

Could be fun. I used to do all right against the self farmers, could usually sneak a country or two in the top 100 without self-farming.

It's not at all like the Alliance server Rico, because for one thing, it's not about 10 heavily pacted clans vs. the rest of the server.

What it's about is 5 or 10 or 50 non-aligned players playing one country to the best of their ability. I saw a comment about doing this in Primary and that isn't a bad idea.

My thought about doing it in FFA was that if every competitor was in one tag, it would be far easier to keep track of.

Anyways, it's just an idea to add another dimension to the game.

in ffa i sort of think of it as what can i do with 16 countries combined

even with a comp like that in ffa theres no way to tell if someone hits their own countries, uses a spy country for ops, manipulates the market

the one positive in my opinion is it would make techer more sensible in ffa since you would have to have 0 allies that would but income by about 23%

until this set ive always played like that and done quite well
id be more than happy to play like that however i dont know if i would want to leave my current tag for it
