Whelp. Here we are.
Maybe this doesn't make sense. Maybe I'm not the best candidate. Hell, I've only played a handful of sets in LoC. But I do have goals on this server and I think I'd be foolish not to see this as the best path.
When I look around this server, I see a bunch of wardogs. Most of them may genuinely prefer to net on such a robust server, but that itch has to come around once in a while. It does for me anyways. And not just war, but a decent, competitive, fun war. I can think of only 2 in the past 2 years.
Sure, I've been a HFA for netting tags longer than I've ever held leadership for war. And maybe there's something to that. My experience in making sure a netting tag can flourish thru establishing allies and being a helpful tag has allowed me to keep one of the last true pure war clans alive for a couple years on another server.
I think we all witnessed sin, last set, take down loc single handedly. From my perspective, I'd miss nudie's wit, Ashe's brain, mob's humor and ratskis plain ability to make me laugh, even at the worst times. I love them like family. I also know what it means to be a classy tag.
Honestly, my short term goals for LoC are simple. Wargain until our suiciders are beat back. We will need help though. The tag is having an extreme down period. Activity is at a low point. I think, if we are willing to help other tags deal with the potential mess of zoom and others, that perhaps we could gain the respect of both imp and icd in addition to other tags. I like the idea of helping to train people to net and how to get war ready as well.
I hope, given the friends I have here, to establish open lines with the top tags, do FA in a mutually beneficial manner and help LoC grow. I would like before I quit this game forever, to have a set where a strong LoC is at all competitive in a friendly war against all of my good friends in IMP. I think we all know if we can get a fun little maybe 10 on 10 war that we'd all enjoy it. Hell maybe people can come out of the other tags to assist us in a big one. But LoC is not at that point now, nor will they be next set.
Consider this the beginning of an LoC that will be recruiting and building, netting and helping tags kill suiciders, dealing with FA in a consistently beneficial manner to our allies, and building towards the funnest and most competitive friendly competition the server has seen.
I'd like to establish a line of other tags being able to ask wargainers in LoC to help with suiciders and vise versa. Maybe reputation doesnt happen overnight or maybe I just have an ass reputation that can't be recovered. But my activity level usually means we can help on a moment's notice. And ideally we push the troublemakers' voice down, help each other kill suiciders, and work together towards a friendly war that we can all remember fondly in a few years. Until then, let me recruit, help me get thru this dark time in LoC history, and get excited for the future.
Thanks to all my friends, to LoC, to IMP, to ICD, to market, to NBK and all the others for giving me a shot to help LoC build into a respected netting tag that is competitive in wars that everyone can appreciate. It won't be an easy first set, but I believe we will be a great clan to work with now. And I think the prospects of the future of once more having a decent war on this server, if only one, should be worth it. It is to a dog like myself.
