lol. they are the presidents trophy winners, they have the best powerplay in the league, best penalty kill in the league probably the best defensive depth in the league, the best goalie in the league, two art ross trophie winners in henrik and daniel sedin, not to mention kessler. yea. they sure are a crap team.

canucks will win the cup in 5. get over it.

I really thought that would cause a bigger stink. I honestly do not watch hockey and just caught the highlight while flipping through the channels.

Was really just hoping to start some conversation in the forums.

How?

And yeah I quite enjoyed that game other than the hit on Horton:/ Sucks for the bruins losing him, just hope it's not a long term thing. And well the canucks have shown they can be beaten and be beaten bad.. and that they like to give up.. Heh second time giving up at least 7 goals this playoffs.

Youre a canadian rooting for a dirty boston team. I don't care about proximity.

Yeah but it's tough to root for a boston team .. They get like 50 playoff games a year in that city between their four teams. Lucky fluffers

and gambit I think that's the norm .. nba finals are full of interesting stuff

presidents trophy means nothing in postseason other then home ice. in this postseason there have been many road victories.

powerplay did a 180 from the san jose matchup to the finals.

defense is taking a hurt with a hip check gone wrong and a late hit.

goalies have been both really good until they came into boston. still age old debate against stay in home butterfly goalie vs aggressive attack the puck "butterfly"

i think kesler is still hurt from the san jose matchup

this should goto 7

BigWiggle: Boston has 3 teams. Last time I checked, the Boston Braves haven't been around for quite some time. :~> And assuming there's three rounds of best of seven for each team, that's only 36 postseason games at most. Though, if I'm honest, I don't like basketball, so for me it's only the Sox and Bruins.

Three round of best of seven for each team means 63 potential games. 2008 seasons for example, the bruins redsox and celtics played 48 playoff games combined. And the patriots are boston's team. I'm just jaded because I'm from buffalo and I see boston fan's whining. We've never won anything

New England = Boston "ok"

And I should have specified, I meant 36 *home games.
Build a team around Miller and you might win something.

Yes, they are named New England. And Foxboro is what .. 25 miles outside of boston?

Miller is good mostly, we're just always missing something. This year it was defense and experience. In the past it has been size and physicality. I'm putting all my faith into the Bills winning it all in 2014

The New York Giants are named after New York, but they play in New Jersey. Your point?

Miller imo is one of the better/occasionally best goalies in the league. It's like Lundqvist, he's really good but hasn't got a team around him. Even with a half-decent offense and defense around him, the Sabres could be quite good.

That is my point. A city's team can play outside of the city. Unless your "ok" was agreeing with me and not sarcastic .. then disregard.

Miller is solid, but he has his funks. If only we could have built a decent around Hasek in the 90s I wouldn't have to complain about championships in Buffalo.

My point is that you seem to be suggesting that a location is primary to a teams "city". Name is everything. The Boston Red Sox represent Boston. New England Patriots represent New England. (Though I do admit you could make a case the the Sox and Bruins also represent New England since we haven't got any other major sports teams in their respective leagues.) Plus the Pats aren't named after a city anymore. They stopped being the Boston Patriots in 1970.

Miller got hurt this year, but I expect him to bounce back. He's shown the level of talent he has, and he's starting to get into the prime of a goalie's career. I'd contend that if he isn't in the top-5 or 10 of league in GAA and saves, I'd be very surprised (either that or your defense _really_ sucks :~D).

injured or not, miller was still pretty good record this year. playoff race this year was too damn close for many teams.
