Well... the thing is, they were the first ones to give me an offer. Plus, they agreed to the two conditions under which I'd join them. That I'd be able to re-form SOTA under their tag. And per my request, that I didn't want to be in any direct leadership position.

Besides. Internal Affairs is basically what'd I've done for the last decade... just without the politics.

Yeesh. The first five sets I was playing in my own alliance, let alone doing everything in my power to lead it and maintain my membership enough to keep the alliance running. When half of my membership left to form SOF, it kind of decimated us, playing alongside Purgatori for two or three sets trying to recoup wasn't helping. And with the whole incident that happened two sets ago with her cheating (she admitted it) and then using my username on these forums (she told me after the fact) just royally screwed up everything.

So with all of that said, you could understand my apprehension in wanting to continue on with SOTA (there are plans for after this set or the next depending on how this set goes), or even playing solo in any circumstance I hope.

fluff... over the last ten and a half years I should have joined everyone from AAxESJ to XLNCoTMC. The fact of the matter is, all I wanted to do was stay independent without having someone else barking up my ass for a while on how to do things.

actually, we offered after sota pretty much went belly up.

and being the members of the clan that convinced you that you should have formed sota in the first place instead of just joining another clan... a little consideration of that might have been nice, but whatever. We have enough members of our own, no need to worry about not getting one more.

*Sighs* We didn't necessarily go belly up. I took last set off because of some real-life issues I had to deal with, moving out of the apartment myself and Vicki were renting after the landlord wanted to charge an additional $300 on top of the $600 we were already paying her, moving to new neighborhood after having my DVD collection stolen by someone who knows a friend of mine and Vicki's, having to report everything stolen, spending two and a half months waiting while my DVD's and assorted items sat in evidence at the police station... and then the whole business of subpoenas and the court appearance.

Then came the whole hassle of getting our internet bill paid as Comcast wanted to be assholes by claiming we didn't return the cable boxes and modems from our last place of residence, so we had to drive all the way out to Layton just to return those. And then have one of their people come back out the next day and setup everything.

As far as SOTA goes, the whole issue of Vicki's self admitted in-game cheating, and her use of my username on these boards led me to believe that it wouldn't have been a good idea to pick up from the previous set as there were issues then that I am sure would have conspired to make things difficult for me and/or SOTA in general.

Mrawr. I just joined SworDs with you Ryuko. Hopefully everyone will understand that what happened two sets ago will never happen again.
