Terry Bradshaw
John Elway
Troy Aikman
Drew Bledsoe
Peyton Manning
Mike Vick
Carson Palmer
Eli Manning

all #1 over-all highly succesful QBs

In the same timeframe there have been 10 other First overall pick QBs and the nature of their success is at times relative

David Carr
Vonnie Teasaverti
Alex Smith
Sam Bradford
Matthew Stafford

and so on

he worked out well as far as I can recall

Trent Edwards wasn't a #1 overall

that was the criteria for my list

You were asking How many work out. I was providing a list that said atleast 50% become superstars. However there have been a few since 1970 that have been complete flops.

Andrwe Luck would and will be one of the superstars

Andrew Luck is an architecture major, which means that he is not sane, and is likely a non-conformist, and possibly a contrarian. Non-conformists and contrarians conflict with authoritarians (no bigger bunch of authoritarians than NFL head coaches). Ergo, Luck is a head case, who will fail in an NFL that frowns on individuality.

On a side note, his major is a 5 year one. If he's staying in school to get his degree (as speculated by several media outlets), then you'll need to wait 2 years to get him.

He also looks too skinny to be an NFL QB.

Have you watched any film on him? He has laid a few blocks and hits on cornerbacks that would make Ray Lewis prowd. Too skinny my ass

also, stanfords offense is so complex it rivals a pro system.

The oline wears play bands because they can't fit them all on licks lol

I guess we will see who is right in a year or so

my apologies - he's a red shirt junior, so next year would be his 5th year, assuming that he's been able to take design studio and play football at the same time (design studio is the core class of each semester for the architecture major and takes 80-120 hours a week to produce the required level of work).
