Rough start to the day night test, two bowlers injured at the Stadium, New fella Lockie Ferguson down for the Kiwis, and loooks like Hazelwood down for the Aussies. BUT, messy scoreline for the kiwis in the first innings, going to stumps at 5/109. Seeing Matthew Wade bowl two overs is probably the most hilarious thing I've seen at that level for awhile too.

and they look fluffed in the second test now too, after losing the first test by 300 odd.
Boult out with a broken right hand, in his first match back, so they're a bowler short again.
Skittled for 148 with Latham accounting for 1/3 of that, and their next highest scorer being a bowler, still 400 0dd behind atm, with the aussies still batting.
Doesn't look good for sydney test either.

Give credit to their guy Wagner though, bowling like a machine. 60 odd overs in Perth, and 51 sent down so far here in Melbourne.

It has been a pretty one sided series so far. There were such high expectations for NZ as well.

yeah, it was :/
whitewashed, and extra brutally, though the final test was effectively against a third string side, with NZ having to make 5 changes.
To be fair though, Wagner bowled like a champ for them all the way through, and well deserves his #2 test bowler ranking. Blundell's ton was good, Ross Taylor becoming NZ's highest ever run scorer was a nice touch too.

BUT, whether Aus can carry that performance and form overseas remains to be seen.
