Here's what to watch the rest of the off-season: Who else will the Heat get to fill that roster?

Either:
1) A bunch of vets will sign up for league minimum for a chance to get a ring playing with these guys, or
2) They're gonna end up with a total crap roster of bad NBA players.

If it's 1, this team becomes the favorite to win the championship over both LA and Orlando. If it's 2, then they're in that top tier, but I'd take LA and Orlando, and perhaps even Boston over them.

Fun thing is: Chicago, one of the teams in the running, actually will basically become a better team by Lebron leaving Cleveland because they'll now have what should be a cakewalk to the Central Division lead.

I'm gonna say not 2011, but 2012 for sure. I think they'll need a season to learn how to play together without being the team's primary superstar. None of them are used to that, and I can see the first 10 games or so being a fluff measuring competition to see who is gonna be in charge on the court.

I think Twain's #1 is most likely. Don't the Heat still have something like 18 million in their annual salary cap left to play with for the rest of their roster? That should easily be 2 past their prime, but still very skilled, vets and a couple of good backups.

dude..they could fill the rest of the roster with 10-year-old girls. who cares? its not like the point guard or center on that team will ever get to touch the ball

It'll be Boston/LA again next year and Boston will even it up 2/2, then it will have to be Boston and LA again the year after that to break the tie.

Orkin -- You feel that the Miami trio wont do any good? I'm a Celtics fan, so I hope you're right.

It's not that they won't do good. They will do quite well I'm sure. But I need to see a competent bench and no injuries before I annoint them like everyone else, and even then the Cetlics have 3HOF starters and potentially 4 depending on how ROndo's career continues + Jermaine O'Neal as THEIR starting lineup. Moreover Boston eviscerated both Lebron and Wade in the playoffs this year. So at this point I'm not even going to say they're the favorites. I'm kinda doubting all 3 of those players will coexist anyway.

I think Wade is a team player -- thus will make it work.

I hope injury-free boston will win another championship.

It makes no difference who the other two guys on the court are...just ask Luc Longley and Steve Kerr...

a.) Neither Wade or Lebron are as good as Jordan was.

b.) The Bulls actually had a really good bench the years that they won. Dennis Rodman, Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, BJ Armstrong, Paxson, Steve Kerr, Toni Kukoc

I for one actually think that these 3 will play quite well together. Team USA anybody? they seemed to mesh nicely together in 08. also, these 3 all share a friendship. I just think that they come together and bring it home to miami. Fisher would be a great addition, and I would like to see Shaq sign with the Heat as well and be an off the bench player.

Team USA and the NBA equivalent of Twilight, Team Lebron vs Team Wade for control of the Heat are two different things.

Co-existing on the Olympic team and co-existing on an NBA team where there are politics, shoe deals and contracts hinging upon stats and star power are two very different things.

Ur right because playing for national pride and to return glory to a team that had struggled for 12 years is really different. There were absoluetly no contract and marketing deals on the OLYMPIC team

that post you just made is the dumbest thing I have read all day dude

I get your point, and I somewhat agree, but your argument is so far off base it angers me
