Okay, you all suck.
Here's my first impression. I Unity desktop interface is a bit too hammered down. It's not possible to add widgets to panels anymore. I don't see that happening for long, if Unity is to be the only option in 11.10 (right now I can revert to Gnome) it needs to improve the ability to easily customize the desktop.
Installation failed in the upgrade from 10.10. Had to reformat partition table (gparted live cd) and download the 11.04 ISO. Tried burning ISO on a 700mb CD, and it failed... ended up burning the ISO on a DVD and installation worked well. It easily recognized the freespace and used that, and left the other partitions as is. After installation of OS and rebooting, the proprietary driver (nvidia) was not working properly... reboot in recovery mode, disabled the driver and used the experimental nvidia driver and was able to load Unity.
Still need to play around with it some more, but I think I'll wait to upgrade my other computers for a couple months.
