Hate it when you vaguely know something, makes it impossible to find.

I have that problem all the time when I'm writing academic papers. It's even more irritating when you remember the gist of it well enough that you could make your point, but it'll be plagiarism unless you actually properly cite it.

I cant imagine how frustrating writing scholarly stuff would have been prior to google, etc.
