Hi guys, I'm new to earth empires. I am an old promisance pro and loved that game, but it seems to be totally gone. I found this and it seems extremely similar.

For anyone who knows, I loved playing orc and playing as an aggressive expansionist while flipping army on the market to run turns and then spiking towers to be heavily defended between turn runs. Is there a strategy that resembles this in this game?

Also, in old promisance days there was "etiquette" in attacking. Are there any unwritten rules about attacks in this community? Like 4 attacks max for land grabs, and non standard/planned strikes are wartime strategies.

no rules set by admins, on soloservers player him/herself decides how to retal hit made and if you make more than 1 attack you open up yourself to all kind of attacks by that player who did you attacked twice or more and on allianceservers landgrabs are uncommon unless attacking against bots or landtrading with other players.

tip for soloservers: join gdi before turn 99 and don't attack against same country more than once.

if you decide to play on allianceservers (team, alliance, ffa) then apply to some alliance (evo, md, omega) which can teach you to play.

yes, on allianceservers alliances retal policies cause that, on soloservers players grab more and sometimes goto war against those who grabbed them.

Yea, pfft, id like to see you spike a tower against marshal. Nobody knows the game as well as him. You can try spiking towers against him, but itll do you no good.

I spike my towers all the time and marshal still gets through.

Sounds like the pot needs to get stirred a bit...

So... are there a bunch of people who bot to sac their country killing folks? Not worth playing if people are running multi's just to be toxic.

only bots are ai bots which increase available land to be grabbed.

Do you still gain turns in vacation mode

you might be able to get the bonus turns for logging in (used to be there in a previous version, don't know if it was taken out), but you shouldn't get any normally from vacation.

login bonuses yes but no other turns.
