I know you American's don't care, but a corrupt government got smacked down hard in my state.

The labor government set the record for worse defeat in the history of Australia.

I loved the ads they had which basically said

"hey we know we cant win, so put us down as number 2"

and the other one that was like

"If liberal white wash us, then they have a blank check to do what ever they want, so vote labour, just so that liberal dont win by too much"

(Ofcourse im making it sound stupider, but thats basically what their ad campaigns were)

That is awesome. :) Glad some sense is taking place, even if it's not here yet.

The Labor campaign promises were basically saying that they wouldn't sell of more infrastructure or do more dodgy stuff. Somehow that was supposed to be an improvement.

Eg We stopped the water sell off, but they were the ones that proposed it to begin with.

Still not as bad as Canadians smacked down the conservative party in 1992 :P
