Red Alert 1--The Aftermath. Set it in Windows 95/98 Compatibility mode...
You'll need to be really quick on building stuff and setting up defenses because everything seems to go so much faster in a Win XP system...
I used to build maps that were like 98% ore fields, one river running through the middle of it, 2 players, and have massive bases with lines of turrets, SAM sites, and pillboxes 6 or 7 deep surrounding them (usually protected by the river which had very few ways of crossing it)...The enemy would field huge masses of tanks and troops (thus slowing my system down to a crawl), and they'd all get mowed down by my defenses (and speeding my system back up). I'd have to send out tanks to kill those annoying v2 launchers, which were just out of range of my turrets. Then the ore fields would run dry, and I'd have to sell stuff to get my army back to fighting strength for that final push into the enemy's base.
I am a troll. Everything I say must be assumed to be said solely to provoke an exaggerated reaction to the current topic. I fully intend to bring absolutely no substance to any discussion, ongoing or otherwise. Conversing with me is pointless.
