I played earth 2025 on the original servers probably around the year 1998. And then it was bought out by some game company and i played it there. Then it disappeared. I played Mars2025 for a while after and then that disappeared.

Today, 10+ years later on a free/lazy Saturday i decided to google "earth2025" and found this game.

Can someone fill me in....

1. Who runs this game?
2. What has happened in the last 10-15 years in the earth2025 scene?
3. Is this game active still?

3. somewhat active yes, mostly oldtimers playing.

Hi mate I was playing until they shut it down, I remember the company saying it was no longer economically feasible or something. It was a sad day in internet history because so many people were playing it, but I am guessing their server expenses were too much to handle the traffic and upkeep of the game. So I am happy a company finally came back and I even refused to play here for a while simply because it was no longer run by swirve . lol

they said code was mess and it wasn't reasonable to recode game.

So i have been back for a few days and so happy i found this game again. I loved it. Thanks to the guys to made this.

After playing it for a few days i can tell the code is much better and i appreciate the new tweaks they added to the game. Very cool.

Who owns Utopia? I miss that game.

How much does this site get on revenue and has it thought about implementing a 'Supporter' option for people that would donate to keep the game promoted and alive for long term? Is it possible to convert this game to an app style to be downloaded from android/iOS market?
