Red Sox fans should be able to appreciate this milestone. If they don't, then they aren't true baseball fans. They just say they are so they can fit in.

Also, the homerun was impressive, but what I thought was outstanding was he went 5 - 5 AND hit in the go ahead run. It was an amazing day for any MLB hitter. 3,000th hit just makes that day immortal.
