Well, if you're running 400 turns behind the rest of the server on a server that only gets about 1600 turns, you're putting yourself in a position for it to happen, and can't really be pissed about it.
This whole "well, they shoulda protected themselves" thing is BS logic, though. I can guarantee you, if I, or anyone else, want to suicide you, no amount of buying up will save you....especially if you have to protect against every possible attack I can make against you. You buy up turrets, I AB you. You buy up turrets and tanks, I missile you. You have all of the above, I GS you to death. And if all that fails, I'll just run spy ops until I can slow you down enough to have my way with you....and in the meanwhile, your mil is spread so thin trying to protect against all types of attacks, I'll build up in one and make sure you can't keep up w/ me.
