Misleading title is misleading.

Which probably has to do with this:

Looks like the citizen is upset that a jacket was allegedly ruined by the cop in the course of doing his duties. Those allegations may or may not have any substance behind them and will come to light during the investigation.

To put a title of 'Black cop charged for being target of racism' for this article is downright stupid. How would that even be a crime? Get real. Anywho, makes me think of this quote:

'Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.'

Other equally as stupid headlines:

Trife, the entire article is a story. The last line is what makes the OG post title relevant. Im not quite sure if you read the entire article.

Because what the person had said "hanging from a tree" can be considered both a threat (a crime) and be turned into a hate-crime type of scenario, the police board are saying that since the officer did not investigate it, he did not do his job.

He is being charged by the police board for not doing his job. He is not being charged criminally.

Sounds to me like the Cop was being extremely kid-glovish with these people and did not wish to escalate the situation. The sucker oughta get a medal.

ok, i think i understand the comments on it being misleading.. when they say he was the TARGET of the alleged lynching remark, they suggest HE was the one to be lynched.. it suggests Duguay said it to the black man, not the black man said it to duquay (a brown man.. when will this black on brown hatred ever end?)

Isn't it a conflict of interest though to investigate a crime of which you are the target? Why aren't the other officers present being investigated?
