You're being silly - the conditions don't make the player. The fact is less good players are playing casher this reset. And the other fact is that this food thing is a pretty recent development. So, maybe it was obvious to you all along that these weren't good conditions for cashers, sure, that wasn't a secret. But unless you took a census of who was cashing or foresaw this weird food bump a week or two ago then those things weren't obvious.
