ya, Atryn is right... most people actually show some results before demanding stuff. the only website he has shown me had very poor search visibility and to be honest it looked like the sum total of marketing was turning on the "enable SEO" option in his pre-made wordpress theme.

he's also reached out to me -- unsolicited -- about half a dozen times to build something for his business over the last 5-6 years but then buggers off after telling me how awesome his business is and why I should be envious of his life. there's a POC fork in Boxcar for some functionality to "support his team" that I wrote in like 2008. I should probably bill him for that.... but anyway, all that (and the fact he's been slamming the game while saying to trust him to solve all its problems) shows me he isn't the kind of person I'm interested in considering for the team.
