Actually, I have to revise what I said. It seems to be a bit stranger than that. Dead countries that get cleared (no rank in final standings) don't count, but some of the dead/deleted countries still ranked do count. Not all of them though, it appears. I'm going to try to figure out exactly which ones by looking at bayrock's profile, but I can't seem to make sense of it just yet.
