Does the government of an ally impact the strength of units that are lent to allies? For example, if my ally has 400,000 jets, normally 100,000 would be lent to me to attack. However, if he was a Republic, would it then be an effect 90,000 due to the -10% strength of his government?

Thanks.

each def/off ally gives 25% from their forces to help you but can't more than double your forces so if you have off ally with 10m jets and you have 2m you won't get full benefits from off-allies.

But will your allies forces take on a +50% strength due to it being planned?

Like, if I send 1 mil jets on planned strike, that's the same as 1.5 mil jet strength. If I get say, 300k jets from offensive ally, is that a flat 300k, or would it be also amped up by 50% to 450k strength due to it being a planned strike that they were in on?

Just saw your other answer, and you say yes. ok. I see this Q was more asking if the units you inherit from an ally come with their government specs. So if my ally is republic and I would get 300k jet help, is that really an effect 270k due to -10% strength from their gov?

allies govt or weapon tech doesn't matter. you get raw 25% of avauilable forces but no more than you yourself have. if your off-ally has ps'd his jets away then you won't get help at all.

You get 300k. Not 270k. Also this 300k help cannot be higher than your own (jets*yourweap*yourreadiness*yourgovt).

That 300k is effectively 450k when you PS.

Here is my question... Im sending all jets to make a grab..

My ally had all his jets out on PS, so his jets did not help.

BUT, his troops and tanks were used!? :S
So even if I dont send troops or tanks, the ally will????

yes no matter if you use troops and/or tanks allies troops and/or tanks will be helping unless those are ps'd out too (dumbass if did it but quite possible).

The amount sent to help is 1/4 of your ally's available offensive power. This includes troops and tank. (The amount of each unit sent will be in proportion to what is at home.)

The amount your ally can help is up to the military offensive value of what you send to attack with (including troops and tanks).

The key is to stop thinking in terms of jets, think in terms of "offensive power".

easier to calc by calcing jets only to be helping.

It's equally easy to convert "troops/2" and "tanks*2" into jet power.
