I know when I used to play in a clan we had a certain amount of time to make a retail otherwise it was free land. In primary, turny, and express is this their unwritten rule also or do you have any amount of time to claim retails and its up to the two countries to duke it out as this is war game?

That's a dangerous answer Marshal. Honestly, I always went with 48 hours for primary. The reality is that people would probably view a hit as a hit and not a retal after a certain point. I know I would consider something like 96 hours as a new hit and not a retal.

As for express, time becomes irrelevant for the most part. Personally, in this case any hit for a hit is a retal - due to the limited time scope of the set.

As for tournament, I barely played that in the past. I would say between 24-48 hours due to the length of the set. But that's just me. Not sure what others might think.

yes it is dangerous but also true, there are no rules set by anybody when to retal like in alliance-servers nor how to retal, if player wants to retal on last day or start a war then he/she can do it freely.

In tourney, it is retal at your own risk. Some feel if they can break you once, they will do it again if you retal.

I feel if you are hit and decide to wait for a better gain on the retal but yet you don't hold enough defense to hold that retal I will hit you back as many times as I can PS you.

so if you retal me make sure I can't hit you back ;)
