Are tools, scripts, etc. that "screen scrape" illegal? I.e. if I have a tool that whenever I load the tag admin it grabs all failed ops on my alliance and sends out messages (outside the game) via IRC or a text bot.

Is that illegal?

In combination with auto-refresh, this could essentially automate a warning system alliance-wide with a single messenger.

Not something we could really detect; that said, use of the tag-admin news is *why* we made the tag admin news only display *after the player has already seen it*

Thus there is no advantage given by the tag admin given that a player couldn't give by posting their news &etc


I would tend to say that if there's any advantage derived from this, that we would act to suppress it, as that is not exactly the purpose of the tag admin news =/
