Imagine allowing players to play FFA style on ALLIANCE. Or TEAMS rules on EXPRESS.

Until you enforce the rules of what the server is actually called “TEAMS”, no extra gimmick of faster turns accommodates that.

Unless I'm just plain recalling this incorrectly., the GDI restriction is different on EXPRESS.

The GDI restriction is prevention of special attacks unless a player has committed >= 2 negative ops/SS/PS (any combonation of these).

The size restriction I don't think exists on EXPRESS (except for humanitarians). I just can't remember if this last section is true or not. Would have to read the GDI explanation on EXPRESS once it begins.

Look at spy NW.
Do search on that country and check nw.
Click attack if same.

It's usually in that gap of calculating & typing in atk info is where it happens usually.

I think perhaps better would be to use enabled/disabled buttons to highlight which ones are "buyable" and have the same buttons in same spot entire time (with shorter text of just action). Right now it appears they dynamically change based on $,. and majority type of building you have.

I also see a potential issue where these buttons could get really big (long) for people with large countries. Have you checked how these look on mobile where the costs of building were like really high? Are there a limit to the # of button rows?

Maybe you’re confusing it.

Each time a player in DR attacks 1 DR is removed.

Spy DR duration is based on server. In my experience it’s usually exactly 24 hrs for each op. So if you did 5 ops at 5am and 3 ops at 6am., then 5 spy DR would fall off at 5am next day and the remaining DR an hr later.

To implement this would be fairly easy., the issue comes in at it would be a way to determine who a person’s alt handle was. And if the ignore did not include alt handles then it would render this feature useless.

It’s almost an entirely new game.

It also seems Slag is making changes to try out & not necessarily make permanent. The point of the discussion on forums is to point out an obvious imbalance which I don’t think there is one.

For my 2 cents., this change seems good to me.

There’s tricks to calculate a bot’s defense just on networth and govt type; thus some players could perform a successful LG without using a turn on spy op. This at least makes the spy op more valuable.

As for helping moderators, I could make an ai program which spits back 0 or 1 if a post is deemed inappropriate. You could then add to it where a moderator could see a list of "flagged posts" where they could make visible or punish user via decrease in bonus points.

The main advantage here is the program would be able to flag posts indifferently and instantly.

What I would need is about 2k+ posts of offensive posts. The more you could provide the more accurate the ai would be in detecting it. I would imagine you would be able to sql dump that based on deleted posts? IDK.

Did bots help? Absolutely. Primarily in the market sphere as NiteL as mentioned.

The issue is their limitations. Imagine you're playing chess against the computer & the only level offered was easy.

If bots had different degrees of play (suck -> expert) and you weren't able to distinguish them from the other players you'd effectively be add more players.

Nobody gets them. There's mins which the market autobuys.

The mins are not broadcasted to avoid market xfers; but, if you played for awhile or experimented some they're not hard to figure out.

I rarely see the benefit of LGing players. Even for 1:1. A smart player isn't going to retal you right away,. and after the attacker has fully built that land then the retal basically eats all those turns.
