Oh, and signing a uNAP is stupid for all parties involved. The thing shouldn't exist really. NAP's as a treaty are signed to create peace, they always end over something stupid. adding the word unbreakable is just a way to say he don't make up fake fluff to break this pact. Nothing it "foreign relations" is unbreakable. Otherwise you may as well just be the same country (or clan in this case).

Honestly traditional norms are lacking, pacts should be honored sure. Ultimately though the game has new "problems" that should be worked into pacts, or its going to be the same things in and out. People suicide because there is no other recourse, people top feed to help their friends two-step land, or just to retaliate on someone they don't like.

If the game is "pact us or we kill you because we're bigger" then people will pact them just to get the advantage of "surprise"

If the game isn't fun because of the pacts in place, then people will try to make it fun because its a game.

LaF and SoL get to play by the norms because they are 2x anyone else.

I watch players lose to suiciders only to never get a chance to take it back because someone else does it first, I've watched people try to hide FA's to do it maliciously, I've watched -every- group sit out or step in regardless of pacts over the years to benefit themselves.

It would also adjust oil inflation, as need would still be higher but potentially lower or higher based on the land of the country destocking. Give it a few sets of adjusting a single variable and you'll probably balance that aspect alot faster too.

Just adjust the oil to pm to be a factor of land. Rather than a flat number. Issue resolved.

Sure it'd be a low numer per acre to be what it is now, but find an average land goal of most netters and make the favtor become roughly what it is now at that land goal.

Makes an already valuable netting resource that much more important, and brings a new element to the decision process of buying more tech for higher land so you can buy less (or more?) Oil later to destock.

If I decide to play and make a country, Ill basically tag up wherever I can most easily get a tag/pass. And although ghqs auto tag pass is easy, I never have accesd to it because people like to remove my perms. *shrug* Guess im an untrustworthy skag these days. Rather insulting tbh.

PS I've never "suicided" So you (and anywhere I play) do have the benefit of knowing I won't suicide, I might expect to die if I play untagged and harass you, but I won't tag up somewhere and stock up to do damage that way, watch the untaggeds if you're worried about that. So I won't be one of the pricks that RoR's and has the land two stepped and what not because I have nothing but jets, but I will hit and retal and whatever I decide to do.
