What's more important though, post season success or regular season success? Overall the Big 10 kind of sucked this year, yeah Wisconsin was always good, and Michigan State is doing Izzo things in March, but really it was a down year. I don't always think that post season success should be the only barometer for a conference strength. I mean wasn't it a couple years ago when the Big 10 was considered the #1 conference when Indiana was really good and in that tournament the Big 10 didn't do so well, but I don't think you can say that the conference wasn't good.

I mean Wisconsin and Michigan State were the only 2 Big 10 teams to even make the sweet 16. So while it is impressive to have 2 Big 10 teams in the Final 4, I don't think that speaks to the strength of the Big 10.

I like ESPN but their March Madness bracket sucks. It's really awkward to invite people to your group, and also viewing your bracket isn't very easy to explain to someone. It doesn't make sense to me why they don't have a tab for it or put it on their fantasy page during March. I mean no I don't want to do baseball fantasy. Wow that is actually really stupid on Yahoo's part. If there is a way to do show your ranking it is not clear at all. I know ESPN just shows your ranking when you look at your bracket. How do you not add this as a feature if you are Yahoo? Seems like time to write a strongly worded letter to Yahoo!

Wisconsin or Arizona would be a good matchup against Kentucky as they at least have some height, and bigs that can shoot 3's. If you can pull Kentucky out of their zone down low then you have a chance. Of course you have to make shots, but that goes for any team even Kentucky.

To be fair that was the first pick in over 100 pass attempts from the 1 yard line this year. Also the Seahawks wanted to throw on 2nd down so they would have a timeout with 3rd and 4th down remaining, so if you run on 2nd down and get stuffed (it's not a guarantee Lynch gets in) you pretty much have to throw on 3rd and 4th down. I still would have liked to see that happen but thems the breaks. I mean that was a crazy play by that CB. Broke perfectly on the ball, had perfect timing and still somehow caught the ball. The Pats did what the Hawks did against Green Bay, played harder longer.

Games like this make me wonder why I care so much about something I have no control over. I mean have you ever wondered why you care about the stuff you do? Especially if it's something you can't control. What is it about sports that is so intoxicating?

Ok first off I'm a Seahawks fan. Secondly what I was trying to say is that if you don't record the ball pressure before the game how can you say the footballs were ever inflated to the proper pressure? And if you cannot say that the footballs were ever inflated to the proper inflation that means that the NFL approved under-inflated footballs for play. At any rate I just feel like the NFL really blew this whole investigation.

Also that analogy is pretty extreme, a better one would be: If you check something and approve it, but do not record the necessary information how can you prove that you actually checked the item properly and did your job?

Oh and just in case you needed any more evidence that the NFL really knows how to f up an investigation they wait till today to say that they don't write down the pressure of football's when they check them before games. Basically they just use the feel test and approve or disprove them, so really the ref just holds the balls and says "Yeah that feels about right, I've handled a lot of balls in my day and this ball feels just right (It's ok to let your inner 12 year old laugh)". The more information that comes out the less I can approve of an NFL punishment for the Pats. I mean if you don't even check to make sure teams are within the legal limit how can you punish someone for being out of the approved range?

But yeah Seattle does have a lot of bandwagon fans, kind of comes with the success. But also I think is because Seattle sports have been so fluffing disappointing over the years that people have kind of given up hope. Though I do find it funny that 49ers fans give Seattle crap when they are just as fairweather as they make Seattle fans out to be. I never really heard a whole lot from 49er fans before they got good this decade.

There weren't any bad calls that went against the Packers, they just choked and lost the game. No rules caused the Packers to lose, the Packers inability to score touchdowns in the redzone caused the Packers to lose.

Did the Patriots cheat? Yes. Will they get punished? Maybe, but I don't know if there is enough evidence to actually take away draft picks. Did the deflated balls have any impact on the game? Absolutely not. But Seattle is going to beat them next Sunday so in the end it won't really matter.

Ahh come on Mak! That show is hilarious!! I am no redneck or hipster either. Phil Robertson didn't say those things to gather new interest either haha. Duck Dynasty is the funniest and cleanest show on cable (and probably tv in general).
Besides a lot of the outrage isn't because of what he said, it's more how A&E reacted. Family Guy and shows like that can be very derogatory to all races/genders/religions, and be praised as a great show, but one guy says something he believes which is never brought up on the show and he gets suspended. Its the double standard that is why so many people are pissed off.

I still think that A&E had the right to suspend Phil, and in this political correct society it was the "right" thing to. I just think that they potentially made a bad business move as this could push Duck Dynasty to a new channel. This is the most popular cable show (or so I have read), so it would draw interest from many channels.

I think if Phil spoke his mind and is going to do that, but if he could go back would maybe say it slightly differently. If he were to have thrown out the bestiality thing I don't think this is a major story. If I were Phil I wouldn't address this issue again, I read some thought he needs to sit down with a LBGT interview or something like that, but I think that would hurt the shows brand more than help. Nothing good for Duck Dynasty comes from that interview, they already issued some statement about the subject and I think thats about all they need to do, they can just wait it out. The filming for the new season (Jan. 15th) has already finished so I'm pretty sure Phil will be in the new season, and by that time people will have forgotten about this (except for some of those activist groups).

On a side note, I had never heard of the group GLAAD before but man... that is one gay sounding name lol

But they wouldn't even need to walk away, just go to another channel. But yeah what Brandon said, Phil couldn't care less about the tv deal. He is rich and as long as he has a house to live in, God, his family, and the ability to hunt he happy.

And yes there is definitely a possibility that he is violating some term in his contract, but if I were A&E I would issue some statement about how the views presented by their tv stars do not reflect on their own views, I just think suspending him is going to look bad for them. But it appeases the gay rights groups which apparently is all that matters.

Ok first off I couldn't really tell what the writers opinions were on this story? It appeared to be pro-gay but it was pretty hard to tell.

Anyway I thought it was hilarious that A&E suspended Phil from filming. I think they have him confused with all the other reality tv show characters. Phil does not need this show nor does he care if it occurs. Its about the same as saying you can't use AOL or internet explorer lol. This decision is also hilarious because Duck Dynasty is the reason A&E is popular. I had to look up what other shows are on there and only other one I had heard about was storage wars. So what's A&E going to do if Duck Dynasty decides to move to another channel and takes it millions of viewers with it?

So anyway that all aside I think its a little ridiculous that there is only one allowed opinion on gay's, the one which agrees with it entirely. Yes I understand that freedom of speech goes both ways and if you present an unpopular opinion you can be subjected to criticism. But does every single comment not 100% supporting gay's have to be portrayed as a some huge tirade?
