Zicam to help relieve the symptoms. If it moves into your chest: When you go to bed slather on a good coat of VapoRub on your chest. I've also heard people swear by putting VapoRub on the bottom of their feet. I've never tried that one though.
To help clear it out quicker..lots of water. Just keep chugging it until you're sick of it..then chug some more. Vitamin C..I find the tablets are more effective than drinking OJ. Good old-fashioned homemade chicken noodle soup is always good too.
I'm surprised that no one else has mentioned Echinacea. It won't do you much good now, but when you very first start feeling something coming on..pop a few Echinacea tablets and a Vitamin C tablet. Do that a few times a day. It's worked for me more times than I can recall.
