I played on LaF about 2 years ago, friends with Don Max in another game. Thinking of making a comeback.

You guys "where going to FS someone else". Okay, you guys wanted a war. It is more challenging getting FS'ed and warring than blindsiding another netting alliance is it not?

This should be the best outcome for you guys. Being FS'ed and showing how good you are. Rather than blindsiding a netting alliance.

Killed 3 times by SoL, got top 1300 haha.

First ever set, 4 kills, 600 attacks and 800 defends. Pretty pleased.

Congrats to everyone with a good finish, and everyone who had fun warring.

I have just applied for my working holiday visa to Aus.

Looking to spend ~6 months working in. Maybe in a non tourist location.

Then hopefully spend ~6 months travelling around. Maybe working again.

I've also read that a job in the "outback" for 3 months, allowed the visa to be extended by a year.

Just wondering about all sorts of information.

Anyway, LaF is great. I don't know why you give us so much hate.I've learnt so much this set. Its been great.

Also, everyone on LaF knows that we as a whole under performed this set. For various reasons. It will not happen again.

You get boring pretty quickly.

Pretty sure this set has ignited a hunger in alot of the top LaF'ers, atleast from what I have seen on the inside.

So the joke is on those people like you who post these threads.

Being a new player myself (1st Reset in LaF currently) I did look a great deal into the Wiki to get some knowledge of the game before Torment started helping me out.

So i'll write 2 quick things I think could be expanded on in the Wiki to help out other new players.

1) Under the new players tab, there is a list of all the servers but it doesn't list how many turns players have to play before the leave protection. This is again repeated in "Choosing a game server" in the game play basics section.

2) Although there is alot of information on the strats like what governments work best and specializing. There isn't actually a rough guide on how to start up and play a country. Not every new players is as lucky as me to land a spot on a tag and get good advice.

I could probably go into some more detail on information, but those where two bits of information I was looking for and couldn't find and I don't know how much time people have to update it!

I think you should actually give SoL some credit. They have done exceptionally well this set in my opinion. Especially their big guys.

I never said LaF didn't outnumber SoL, I just think the numbers some people are mentioning in this thread are way out of proportion. Someone on the first page mentioned LaF had a 20 member advantage, well in my understanding, alot of old members of LaF started a country once we got FS'ed.

If I am wrong, then so be it. But I don't think I am.

Anyway, its been a good war, and I hope we can keep it up. I know we don't intend to roll over.

I'd say a couple of things,

The reason alot of people where playing Farmer/Casher is because there are atleast 10 (I would go as far as saying 15+) people on LaF new to the game (Me included) and Torm is helping/training us. And suggested it would be easier for him to do that if we played Farmer/Casher.

Also, what was the country difference at the time of the FS, because alot of olf LaF players made countries when the war broke out. So we didn't have a member advantage from the outset.


SoL have done a great job getting their big members online and walling. As it happened I got killed on the only night I couldn't be near a computer/Phone died on me. So congrats for that.

Anyway, alot of this seems to be junk posted by the minority who know jack fluff.

My first war I don't plan on dying and Hopefully can bank a few kills in the next few weeks.

Personally, all alliances need to update their rules slightly when it comes to retalling. Maybe have player - player retals. Then if it gets excessive, the tag steps in.

At the moment, grabbing in the game is stale. I am a new player and may not understand fully. But it seems to take ages to even find a target to hit, then that country has been hit to high heaven already.

Needs a shake up.

Instead of posting this on a public forum, why didn't you contact a LAF authority sooner? Instead of waiting 72 hours. If you feel you are being farmed, nip it in the bud after 24-48. Don't just wait it out then try and stir some crap up after 72.

Maybe it doesn't work like that around here, but it looks like common sense to me.


I play on LAF, and this is my first set. But the leaders all seem like reasonable people, I am sure if you approach them in private thinks would have happened alot quicker.

Sounds interesting. If only every alliance joined, we could hold hands, make daisy chains and hug trees.

As a new player and member of LaF, I can say that the training is good and the players in the division are active and always helpful. So advisable for any new player to join.

But I spoke to Max after sending this, I didn't realise he played alliance.

I shall be hopefully joining LaF.

Looking for an active alliance who can point me in the right direction.

Played with alot of Earth players over on TEQ. But that game is dying now, and Max/n0f (Don't know what he goes by here) suggested to give it a try.
