I thought the alliances were moving forward. I know many of you, as some cited Karma in this thread, think SoF deserved this. That's nice....but I thought we ended the 'grudge' tactics? So if by chance SoF gains the upperhand and strikes SoL will you cry foul? It takes a big leader to move forward once and for all. With all their talk about fairness and moving on, I'm not surprised SoL, and the merciful mdevol, isn't capable of doing that. They were frauds all along.

Cutting taxes might not be so bad...but I wonder what those specific rates are and what tax structure they want to propose.

Does one favor a flat tax, or perhaps we keep the current progressive model with lower rates? Do we nix exemptions?

I think most of us would agree that cutting taxes on the middle class would be nice. However, a small marginal tax cut might not move the needle. You have to spur demand because that is what really spurs the economy. The only way I see that happening with a tax cut is a substantial slashing of the rates...moreso than what we already see through exemptions.

While cutting taxes, we have to ask ourselves about the services our government provides. Conservatives love defense spending so that's not going away. Old folks (the most reliable voting bloc) love their Medicare. I do believe Obamacare will be more popular in the future but no matter how you feel about it...it's not going away.



If Republicans would change their tune on social issues, I might take a closer look at some of them. It's hard to vote for a party that advocates a social policy from the 1960s.

I don't believe the Republicans will field a candidate that's 'good enough' for me.

I hear Jeb Bush is promising...I'll have to do a little more research on him.

I'm a liberal, and I suppose a Democrat by default, and I do NOT want to vote for Hiliary. I don't want to vote for Jeb, or Rand Paul.

I would vote for Warren but she isn't running.

At the end of the day, I'll probably vote for the D...only because the alternative is more unbearable.

I don't see how any trustworthy actor could cite that and use it against you. moreover, he then conflates it with general SOL bashing. That is also exactly what you were talking about in point number 5. You aren't the only one that notices that nonsense, and it's not just a few people.

1. I'm not sure gender equality will ever apply to domestic abuse. we tend to want to protect those weaker than us. women are seen as physically weaker than men, in this case it is most especially true, thus women are not to be physically harmed. imo, if a woman puts her hands on a man, she is asking for retaliation. I don't believe anyone should have to be subjected to physical battery no matter how harmless.

The other aspect is that domestic abuse is ugly. it differs from a random encounter with a stranger. i imagine he would still have his job if that were a woman he met earlier in the night.

2. it's hard to trust the victim in domestic abuse cases. it could be fear, complacency and internalization, or a combination of those. it is up to her to leave and if she doesn't and proceeds to marry the guy then i say let 'em go. they seemed to have moved on. i also get the impression this was a one off incident.

iScode's argument pertains to LC's repugnant behavior OUTSIDE of the game. even if you disagree, at least respond to what iScode is actually saying.
