Again, this is not a game server availability issue. Players chose to use established game servers primarily for netting instead of war. This has little to do with game development in my opinion. There are three clan servers that are setup to war with other players and one could easily war 1on1 in Express.




In many cases, I agree. But I strongly believe there are still exceptions to this idea. I've never been a great netter, but (when I played) let me pick a handful of my best guys in FFA, and there'd be an old-fashioned whoopin.

Accounts are activated through email verification. If that's all you need, check the email you used on the other account. Using a fake email or one you cannot access prevents you from activating.

As far as moving forum handles to another game account, this cannot be done. You can only make/claim new and unclaimed ones

Clan servers and Team are setup to be war servers. Game culture and politics has shifted the focus away from this, not server access and game administration

He seems terribly confused on many facts. Someone with more time and interest can educate him if they're brave enough

I'm sorry you feel that way. The recent deletion in Express was the final straw in me making the decision to disable his game account. He was given multiple opportunities to play by the rules and chose not to. I think he actually was banned for a period time from the express server but his deletions (more than I care to count) span across multiple game servers, not just one. I laid it out very clear for him not long ago that if he continued to cheat and be deleted, he would lose the opportunity to play the game. This is on him.



There is no rule against this "griefing" word that you use.



His deletions are many in number across several game servers.



There is very strong evidence they are either the same person or sharing accounts, although that is not the reason for his account being disabled, which I feel I've stated already. Your continued mod trolling is as invalid as it is annoying. I continue to strongly suggest you wind it back a tad if you enjoy using the forums.

Both accounts are disabled from playing any game server until further notice. I've warned repeatedly this would happen. Plus, I'm not totally convinced yet the accounts arent being run by the same person. Play by the rules or lose the ability to play at all.

I disagree with that part. While I'm sure enforcing SOTS rules was a pain in the ass, there was overwhelming support from everyone to remove it. A couple years after it was removed there were discussions here about bringing it back and the player support for it was slim. If there was large support and good arguments for it now, I see no reason we wouldn't at least consider it.



Hard to say. It was 7 years ago and I never had an overly strong opinion of this server as a player. But you'll find the suspension of SOTS thread on page 44 here at the moment.

I recall seeing a discussion amongst players and mods alike and the large consensus wanted to remove that limitation

Mod and admin bashing and false claims against them is not allowed on the forums and I personally find it particularly annoying. If someone has a complaint about one, message me directly.

One player is in forum time-out. ...Another is close. Chill out and go play the game.

He's offered to dedicate some time to the role and we certainly appreciate the extra help.

If you dont like the turn mechanics in Express, I'd suggest playing another game server instead.

Anyone that has the interest and a lot of spare time (looking in your direction gerdy) want to get on alpha FFA and play with the luck bonus? I see the occasional "I've heard it does _____, but never confirmed it" on various things not mentioned in the bonus announcement from 2011 - mostly related to the random events. Who wants to experiment?

I dont think any of the non-clan servers are great starts but I suppose I'd pick Express if I had to choose just because time lost to ingame abuse would be minimal.

FFA probably has the most potential for a new player with clan support, uncommon wars, and the opportunity to try multiple strat methods simultaneously. Also fast aid if you run into a cash situation, play with alliances, etc. I feel you might get more mentor support from the Alliance server just by the culture, but some players might find it too imposing. And I think landgrabbing real players in Alliance leads to its own issues.

FYI - I believe they restart, or at least are replaced by a new one. So technically I don't think they can ever be all dead.
