But I still don't understand the difference between normal and (Stored) turns.

I only have 8 turns left, and I know I'll get more as time passes by. But I have (90) stored turns. I had 99 earlier. Where did the other 9 go? I never reached ZERO normal turns.

What are stored turns? How do I get/consume them?

It's my 1st day here. So I built a few buildings, but I don't get any tax income or food at the 25 minute mark. I don't see anything coming my way at all.

So how does this work? Don't I automatically get money produced based on my buildings?

I mean, I searched the wiki, but nothing there explained how the economy works in this game.
