What Derrick left out, is that regardless of if you want to be a netter or killer, there will be wars between alliances, so as a netter you would need to learn how to kill for wars.
Most alliances have kill teams, if you join an alliance for netting, spend a couple of sets as a part of the kill team to learn how to war and kill, and then spend the rest of the time as a netter.
