god please can we war you? a nice lazy war, where like only 2 of us are in the irc at one time and you have a time to regain your population after ever kill run. and then i get killed one night when i'm passed out from one of aliyah's bedtime stories and then get to make new country names (whish is the best part of the game) all set long like "thats what she said" and "oh no you didnt".

have gotten a red light ticket before in delaware where i live. $75 on an extremely short yellow. they are absolutely just revenue generators...the statistics show "we are 80% safer because the cameras catch 80% fewer people than when they were put in", but the real statistic is that some company just made over half of that ticket, and there is no measurable statistic to show "there are this many fewer accidents because of the cameras" because the cameras DON'T PREVENT ACCIDENTS, they merely catch people who have run a red light, either on purpose, or by accident, or because light yellows are seemingly random in this town and no one knows how long a yellow is. supposedly the solid white stripe on the ground leading up to the light is the distance you can travel (if you are going the speed limit) after the light turns yellow and before it turns red, but do you really think the guys striping the streets are getting out their TI-83's to calculate how long that stripe is supposed to be for 35mph zone and 3 second yellow light?

was in DC this past weekend and it was just like trumper said...people knew where the speeding cameras were and were slowing down, then speeding back up again...bullfluff, that's more dangerous than people speeding in the first place, and everyone keeping up with traffic.

not that history shows we don't take kindly to missile retals. not that we don't have a long history with "xGx" or anything.

if you want a 5v5 next set, i'm fairly confident that could be arranged.

Lords was born from the Heroes and LoT/Lords clans on an earth game, global2025 express. We joined forces and moved to ee team when global2025 started to have big problems.

most of us play alliance and other servers in different clans.

RD looks to be at 21 countries this set.

rockman still doesn't seem to understand that:

1.) no one is requiring that he play team server
2.) there are plenty of other servers for him to choose from
3.) there are plenty of players that enjoy playing team server as it currently stands

i have ideas for a capture the flag type game (thread somewhere ~year ago) which would involve a small team working to accomplish goals versus other teams throughout a set. different things like stealing and holding a 'flag' for the longest time, accomplishing successful military and netgaining goals, etc. a game where working with another team doesn't make sense, because you'd be working against your own team. similar to makinso's ideas they would probably be somewhat complicated to implement.

if team server is changed at some point in the future, i'd hope that the existing players would be able to contribute ideas and feedback towards it's development, and that it would introduce a significant gameplay change versus existing servers.

will check with the rest of the family, but personally i am 100% for it.

i could understand if i was in attack range and then subsequently move out of it, the "war dec" would keep, but if you can't attack a country at your current NW, it shouldn't let you declare war on it imo.

also, the team that gets declared on gets penalized too? i can see people being fluffs with that one...do you have to have a full team to declare war or can you make a team of one and declare on a team of 5, thus making all their countries hurt until they killed you. you could also use it towards the end of a set to shelter countries from suiciders. if people arent really running turns, it's not a big penalty.

you can get an unmolested 5v5 in team if you want, there are at least two going on right now.

but who says a tag has to state or even follow their own retal policy at all? if you found a wording loophole in our policy and exploited it, we might still kill you for pushing an issue. just like we won't feel bad if someone complains about getting killed outside an imaginary 48hr kill window, when our policy is "if you hit us x times we will kill you".

of course it's all null and void now, because regardless of what you think MKR policy is or should be, you know what it actually is now. and that's what team is all about boys and girls!

Rockman, I understand where you're coming from, but it's just a matter of wording. Lords has the same window as MKR, 48 hours. No differentiation between kills and land grab retals (in the wording) but if we have determined a country needs to die, we're not going to stop just because 48hrs have passed. once it gets marked for death, it's no longer a normal retaliation and '48hrs' gets thrown out the 'window' as they say.

as far as cross tag kills, we have done that but try to keep it in one team if possible. if we cross tag kill and someone wars us over it, we're prepared to accept that.

we are also open to 5v5 wars, so it's not like we're hiding behind numbers. if someone wants to fight us team v team all they have to do is ask, but prometheus was the only one who wanted to last set.
