Excellent post and well said. I did not know it was so easy to donate?
You should have a "Donate" button right on the log-in page with a little caption "It's Easy" under it.
You know when peeps get drunk or run into some Dough-re-me, they may just click the button.

Times are hard. I'm going to play Texas-Holdem tonight. Not big stakes, but I really should not gamble my hard earned money (buy in per game is $10, with chance to win $80-$100 for 1st, $40-$60 2nd, $10-$20 for 3rd depending how many friends show up). With food buy in (A great spread) of $30 for my wife and I, tonight could cost me $90 if neither of us place in the three games we will play. But still, where are you going to be able to get a great dinner and a night out 6-8 hrs at that price now a days?

$5-$10 for years worth of "Entertainment" in the form of Earth Empires is not a lot to ask at all.

PS- Wish me luck. I need Oil for heat and a WIN to DONATE here! ;-)

We live in an age of sms/texting/instant message. Your either going to get online or not.
I am not involved in war atm so there is no effect on me , but I agree to change in set is a bad idea imo.

Just like everything else it affects everyone so like LI said, they have it tough enough.

What about a round robin?
No then 2 Teams will concentrate on one, get it out of the way and go at each other.

Sounds like Utopia, where you don't know where you will end up.

As I was updating SoF prior to the FS, I saw most were ready for our FS. Most had plenty of turns along with saved turns. Excellent SDI, good spal and ready to war.
We did have an outside chance of pulling this out or at least making it more interesting even though the numbers were in SoF's favor. We knew we were getting in over our heads but hey, them's the breaks.
The biggest factor for SoF's success in this war was their ability to get online consistently a day or so after the FS. If NA would have had the percentage SoF had getting online......
Anyway, good job on SoF's part in that respect.
Sorry we could not give you a better war. We did a terrible job of getting online and Stonewalling until midway through the war when it was too late to matter.
