Nowadays my holidays are smaller and quieter. I used to host the big family holiday meals. But as time went on everyone had other plans with their family’s.

But for those meals always had one or two extra place settings. My sister was notorious for dragging someone with no where to go along. She meet them somewhere and find out they got no one and no where to go and invite them along. But I never knew til she showed up. We just smiled and welcomed them in and fed whoever. That was the rule of the house when I was growing up. It’s my rule today. If you’re in our home and need food or drink we provide.

Used to do Black Friday shopping. Craziest was walking out of K-mart (when they existed) carrying several bags of Barbie stuff for my nieces. Walked out the door right into a local tv stations camera guy and reporter. Microphone in face. No coffee yet in my system. Giddy from scoring a haul of cheap Barbie stuff. Pink boxes protruding from bags. Being interviewed.

Which aired again later that morning.

In the kitchen of my nieces parents.

While they ate breakfast.


Needless to say the surprise was gone.

Good times. Crazy times. Memories.

While that is true it’s the before that concerns me. I cannot count the number of times public figures chanted “facist”, “dictator”, “threat to democracy”, “taking away your rights”, “resist”, etc from Democrat leaders, left leaning news hosts, social media influencers, talk show hosts, etc. Non stop hate rhetoric.

When that sort of message is repeatedly stated to the world you can expect there will be people who are going to act who think of themselves as heroes. And that’s when bad things happen.

I didn’t agree with everything he said. But did with a lot of it.

Big 2A supporter. Big 1A supported. Big let’s obey the laws.

What I did admire is he had public discussions. Opposing view? No problem. Let’s talk. Reasonably. Have an actual dialogue.

Something many politicians won’t or can’t do but should.

That takes courage. You are never going to know the outcome. Cannot determine a winner. But just talking it out brings thoughts. Ideas.

This whole political violence thing is out of hand. Vulnerable impressionable people read the rhetoric and think they will be hero’s.

Needs to stop. All sides.

9) there may or may not have been an instance or three or five of leg humping

10) no one will allow me to display my collection of captured souvenirs (assorted panties, bras, etc) because Ruthie still wants them back.

A roll call was taken of candidates.

Farmer was absent last seen talking to what may or may not have been a cheerleader with a beard muttering as he was muttering planting his seed and watching it grow and headed to the family restroom stall.

In meantime DarkAngel extracted a bright green torpedo shaped object from his coat pocket and began waving it air and tossing onto the court yelling “fetch boy”.

BigDogCWG was last seen galloping through the crowd chasing something bright green.

Jeweler declared DarkAngel the winner due to fact there was no one left.

Congrats DarkAngel.
