hello, I been wondering how exactly does GDI work? I been looking trough the forums and the game wiki, but haven't found an answer that I can understand. this is what I understand so far from GDI. (all this is on a Primary server).
A country 2 times your size or less than half your size is unable to attack you, so, if you have 4000 land, a country with 8001 land can't attack you and a country with 1999 land can't attack you. these countries can't do any harmful spy operations to you. And you can't attack or do harmful spy operations on those countries.
You must be attacked by the same country 2 times so you can launch missiles and other harmful attacks to that country (that is with in your country size)
Once you join GDI you can't leave GDI.
you must declare war on a country that is 2times your size or less than half your size to attack them.
Now, I seen countries that have land of over 21,000 land attacking countries that have 5,000 or less, not to mention that the country with 21k land has a networth greater than 8mil, and the small country is just passing 1mil networth, and they both are under GDI and the are not at war. It is my understanding that GDI should have blocked the attack by the player with 21k land and networth over 8mil, yet the attack went trough.
Also, I noticed (maybe it only happens to me) you can't declare war on another country because an error has occurred message appears.
Is there something I miss like a government bonus that ignores some GDI rules or something? how can attack like this go trough? is GDI just 3 letters that mean nothing like other players on the forum say?
please help me understand the confusing rules of GDI and declaring war status. thank you for your time.
